Mother Nature got fired up a round 4:00am this morning with some serious rain, winds and hail all across Acadiana. We sure hope you and your family are safe. Not sure how this will all shake out, because it looks like rain for the rest of our Sunday. Below is a list of road closures and sandbag information we have at this time.

DOTD cautions that with crews and materials in that area, they hope that drivers will be careful while driving.

There are two road/lane closures happening on Interstate 10 this week – one closure in Iberville Parish and the other in Calcasieu Parish.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience the necessary may cause today.

They ask drivers to please drive carefully through this area.

A portion of St. John Street in Downtown Lafayette will be closed for repairs.

DOTD officials will need another few more weeks to finish making repairs to a storm drain at the intersection of Pinhook Road and Kaliste Saloom Road.

The Louisiana DOTD has announced that the east bound right lane of I-10, between mile marker 126 and 127 on the basin bridge,

Five lane closures are scheduled to begin next week on Interstate 10. Closures that will range from Calcasieu to Iberville Parishes.

Heavy rains in Acadiana has a few roadways closed due to flooding in the area.

DOTD says there are permit load restrictions of 12 feet in width.

There are two road closures starting today - one in Lafayette Parish; the other in Vermilion Parish.

The work will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. both Tuesday and Wednesday.

A Flood WARNING has been issued for Iberia, St. Mary, eastern Vermilion, southern St. Martin and southeastern Lafayette parishes. Because of that, road closures are beginning to pop up across Acadiana.

In addition to that work, DOTD says Louisiana Highway 360 at the railroad track just before Louisiana Highway 10 will also be closed today during the same time period.

A restriping project will provide some lane closures on the I-10 Atchafalaya Basin Bridge over the next week.

The Sugar Cane Festival runs through the 28 in New Iberia.

With the heavy rains came heavy flooding in Lafayette today.

Effective immediately, the following road closure are in place. The roads will be reopened as soon as conditions improve.

An 18 wheeler carrying corn dogs has closed a major roadway in the Shreveport area. If only a truck full of mustard could have been involved too.
