You probably heard that Starbucks is now offering a new bigger size of coffee that's got an even stranger name. I think they call it the "Trenta". Which I think is Italian for "Half Gallon". I love coffee, heck I wake up at one in the morning, I know coffee, I don't give blood, I slow drip it through a filter. You get the point. But when is it too much for the system? Well let's understand how coffee and the chemicals involved react with in our bodies first.

By stimulating your adrenal glands to produce adrenalin, caffeine puts your body in this "fight-or-flight" state, which is useless while you're just sitting at your desk. When this adrenal high wears off later, you feel the drop in terms of fatigue, irritability, headache or confusion.

It's kind of like a scary movie! You get your heart racing when the chainsaw guy jumps out at you then after that you sleep through the rest of the film because it's so boring. Before you order that extra big or Grande Venti Trenta Sierra Volvo Excursion Prius, know your limits, listen to your body.
