Witness To Testify In Lavergne Hearing Friday

Testimony will be given Friday in a hearing related to accused murderer Brandon Scott Lavergne, but court officials have not disclosed the identity of the person to testify. The hearing is set for 10 a.m. Friday.  Some attorneys do not believe the testimony will come from Lavergne himself.

Speculation that Lavergne entered a plea deal has been high during the past week after "a credible source" led police Aug. 7 to the body of Mickey Shunick buried behind an Evangeline Parish cemetery off La. 10.
