18-Year-Old in New Iberia Dies One Week After Shooting That Killed His 13-Year-Old Brother
A New Iberia mother is now grieving the loss of both of her sons who were victims of gun violence last weekend.
On Sunday, June 14, a drive-by shooting occurred in the 500 block of Johnston Street in New Iberia. 13-year-old Demarcus Domond Brown, Jr. and his 18-year-old brother Tre'jon Norman were both shot in broad daylight.
Brown, Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene. Norman was transported to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition.
However, family members have announced that he succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Sunday, June 21.
So far, no arrests have been made in the case.
