2-Alarm Fire Damages Downtown Lafayette Businesses
Around 4:30am this morning, the Lafayette Fire Dept responded to a 2-alarm fire on Jefferson Street in Downtown Lafayette. The fire damaged three Downtown businesses.
KATC reports the fire started in the back porch and patio area behind Phillyanna Cheesesteaks before spreading next door to the Studio Downtown and Phó Tastic. The fire happened on Jefferson Street near E. Congress.
Phillyanna Cheesesteaks reportedly suffered heavy fire damage outside, and The Studio Downtown suffered moderate exterior fire damage and light smoke damage inside. Phó Tastic only suffered light smoke damage to the outside of the restaurant.
No damage is being reported to the Lafayette Science Museum, and thankfully no injuries have been reported.
