ABC Australia got 1 thing right in this mini-documentary that a whole lot of people around the country and even the world usually don't; New Orleans is NOT Cajun Country.

It's not that we don't like New Orleans. We LOVE New Orleans. It's just not Cajun Country.

This 2003 ABC Australia mini-documentary makes a point to let viewers understand the differences, and does a great job showcasing the things that make Acadiana so fantastic, and so unique.

Even though this was shot only 12 years ago, it almost seems like a lifetime ago. You'll see plenty of familiar faces in this video I'm sure, and might even see yourself!
