If you plan to attend any of the days of the 2023 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell, you can leave your cash at home (for the most part).

Like most other large-scale special events, Jazz Fest 2023 will be a cashless experience. Ticket, food, beverage, craft, and merchandise booths will no longer accept cash payments.

However, for festivalgoers who head to Jazz Fest with only cash, the Festival will offer cash exchange booths.

What forms of payment will be accepted?

  • All major credit cards
  • Debit cards
  • Prepaid cards
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Samsung Pay

What's the cash exchange process like at Jazz Fest?

Those without credit cards or digital payment options can bring their cash to a Cash Exchange location and obtain a prepaid card. There is a maximum exchange of $500 per card but multiple cards can be purchased.

There are no fees associated with getting a card. Any balance remaining on a prepaid card can be spent outside the Festival.

See the Jazz Fest Map for Cash Exchange locations.

This year's Jazz Fest will take place Friday, April 28 through Sunday, May 7 at the New Orleans Fairgrounds.
