[UPDATE] Power Restoration in Progress

According to KATC, Mayor Mark Piazza of Abbeville says his city is also without power due to a fallen tree that hit a power line.

The power line was repaired; however, power was not restored.

According to Entergy’s power outage map, estimated restoration time is 4:30 p.m.

About 25,000 Slemco customers are without power in Acadiana because of oncoming severe weather.

Due to the volume of calls they’re receiving and traffic to their website, the phone lines and website are having a difficult time keeping up.

The spokesperson says you can keep trying to report the outage by calling 1-888-275-3626 or going to www.slemco.com.

At this time, it’s unclear when power will be restored.
