LUS, SLEMCO and Entergy Rolling Blackouts
LUS, Entergy and SLEMCO have all begun rolling blackouts across Acadiana and Louisiana as the winter storm continues to create a strain on power grids across the state.

Lafayette Utilities System has announced they are once again initiating rolling blackouts in Lafayette. Meanwhile, SLEMCO has made a serious announcement to customers, labeling services at a "critical point".
LUS says that at the request of energy regulators for the Acadiana area they have once again begun instituting rolling blackouts across Acadiana.
According to KATC, the rolling blackouts began at 6:30 pm this evening, Tuesday, February 16, and will continue until 1:00 am Wednesday, February, 17 or unless otherwise notified that the blackouts are no longer needed.
The outages are expected to last around 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, SLEMCO has announced their generation load is at a critical point, asking customers to conserve electricity to avoid having to conduct rolling blackouts.
