It's Monday and we could all use a little extra something to help us get up and at 'em in the morning.

Here's something you can try first thing after you wake up to assist you in your day's adventure. It's a 90-second trick that supposedly will wake you up even better than a normal shower.

But be warned, it sounds like torture!

First, shower like normal, But before you get out, blast yourself with cold water for 30 seconds. Then switch back to hot water for 30 seconds and end with another 30-second cold water blast.

So that's 30 seconds of cold, 30 seconds of hot and 30 seconds of cold again.

I'm getting the frissons just thinking of that, me!

The cold water alone won't wake you up but switching back and forth between hot and cold allegedly works better, because it increases your blood flow. So you end up feeling more energized.
