A Man Named Burger Is Marrying A Woman Named King And Burger King Is Paying For The Whole Thing

Joel Burger and Ashley King have known each other for their entire lives. I'm assuming that during that time, they've been told repeatedly that they'll grow up and marry one another. You know, the whole Burger + King thing. Well, the universe has gotten its way, and Burger King, the restaurant, couldn't be more excited about it!

The couple announced publicly in the State Journal Registry last week that they were getting married. Burger King found out about it, and asked the couple for a few minutes of their time to speak about it through Skype.

That's when Burger King told the couple they wanted to pay for the entire wedding.

“When Burger King Corporation heard about the happy Burger-King couple, we felt an overwhelming urge to celebrate their upcoming marriage,” a spokesperson for Burger King told BuzzFeed. “It felt like fate: They found each other and their story found us.”

“All we ask in return is that they live happily ever after,” Burger King said. “And maybe name their first child Chicken Fry.”
