Legendary Louisiana musician Aaron Neville will make his debut on stage in his home town of New Orleans on Thursday, April 6th, at the annual French Quarter Festival. Neville has been a Jazz Fest regular for many, many years, but this is his first appearance at French Quarter Fest. The festival has been a beloved event since 1983, and features over 200 performers on 23 different stages throughout the historic French Quarter. The festival is free, and will be held this year on April 6-9.

The musical entertainment lineup has just been released, and includes Acadiana's own Cupid, along with Irma Thomas, the Dixie Cups, Bruce Daigrepont Cajun Band, and Charmaine Neville.

One of the more popular parts of the festival includes the World's Largest Jazz Brunch, in Jackson Square, with over 60 vendors offering the unique and delectable cuisine of New Orleans and south Louisiana. We're talking the best food New Orleans has to offer, and it's spectacular, folks!

The French Quarter Festival was originally established to bring locals and tourists alike back to the historic Quarter after the World's Fair, and extensive sidewalk repairs forced people out of the area for an extended period of time. It's the largest free music festival in the south, and well worth a trip down I-10, y'all. Check out the official welcome video below.
