Sometimes when people drink bad things happen. We're just going to assume that this could be one of those kinds of stories. It comes from Mamou where 29-year-old Tyler Byrd has been arrested on charges of simple arson.

According to a report on KLFY TV 10, Byrd told authorities that and a friend a lit a fire next to an ATV in the garage of a home on Hebrard Road in Mamou. Byrd also admitted that he and the friend had been imbibing in alcohol when the fire was set.

Needless to say lighting a fire in the garage while under the influence did not play out well for Byrd. He told authorities that " things just got out of hand". The home on Hebrard Street did sustain some damage. Byrd was the only resident in the home at the time of the fire.
