Crowley residents have the opportunity to celebrate life and the annual Rice Festival festivities by joining in the Annual Rice Festival blood drive. The drive will be held Monday, October 13th, between the hours of 11am and 6pm inside the Rice Festival building. "It is always fun to come together as a community to celebrate a harvest, and have a little fun," said Christina Duhon of United Blood Services. Donors must be at least 16, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Each blood donation can held save three lives. Blood donated here helps save the lives of patients in Acadia Parish and 32 other South Louisiana parishes. Donors will receive:

  • Ride bracelet for the Rice Festival (sponsored by Jaguar Energy Services, John N John Truckline & Acadia General Hospital)
  • A bag of rice from Falcon Rice Mills, a long time sponsor of the blood drive
  • "I Bleed Pink for a Cure" t-shirt
  • Free shoe shine form Huval Boot & Repair (for the first 100 donors)
