Audubon Zoo to Debut New Holiday Light Display in November
Audubon Zoo in New Orleans will debut a new zoo-themed light display this 2018 holiday season. The lights will be accompanied by entertainment and activities each night, which they hope will all become a part an annual tradition for families.
Audubon Zoo Lights, which will be presented by Children's Hospital, is scheduled to kick off the Friday after Thanksgiving and run through December 30th.
The display will feature life-size, light-up silk replicas of animals found in the zoo as well as a slew of activities for children and adults, including craft tents and live entertainment.
The craft tents will be really cool as visitors can create art and write holiday messages to be delivered to patients.
The event will run on select nights from 5:30pm to 9:30pm. Tickets will be $10 per person for zoo members and $15 for non-members. Those tickets will be available soon for purchase online and at the zoo's entrance.
