(KMDL-FM) Authorities in Nassau, Bahamas, say five Americans are facing charges after an altercation escalated and caused injury to several officers with the Royal Bahamas Police Force. It is unclear on which ship the five were booked, but it's safe to say that the ship has sailed without them.

What we do know is that at the time of the incident, the Carnival Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration were in port. Those two vessels are currently sailing out of Port Canaveral and Port Miami, respectively. The Caribbean Princess and the Disney Fantasy were also in port; they, too, sail from Port Canaveral.

Also in port at Nassau on that day at that time were the Allure of the Seas and the Oasis of the Seas. Those vessels also began their Caribbean adventures from a port in Florida. So, we can confirm the guests involved in this altercation did not start their cruise in New Orleans or Galveston.

Passengers From What Ship Were Arrested in Nassau, Bahamas?

There are still a lot of unanswered questions concerning this incident. We don't know which ship the affected passengers were sailing on. We don't know what started the incident. We don't know exactly what charges will be brought against those who are facing charges.

We do have this news report from Bahamian Television.

In the video from The ZNS Network, you can see the altercation unfolding at the port. You can also see a video from the police station at the port where one of the American women arrested is alleged to have thrown a chair through the police station's glass door. Social Media Speculates About Cruise Ship Arrests in Nassau, Bahamas

Social media sites that follow cruise ship activity are already speculating which of the five ships in port that day brought the passengers that raised the ruckus. Speculation is pretty high that fingers will be pointing at one of the two Carnival vessels that were in port that day. The cruise line does have a reputation for "rowdy confrontations" among onboard guests.

But nothing has been confirmed, and although Carnival does lead the industry in violent altercations on board, we should note that they are the largest cruise line in the world and carry a lot more passengers than most cruise lines do. So, that "violence" number could be inflated simply because of the sheer volume of guests.

It is unclear as to what the next steps will be in this investigation. The Bahamas Royal Police are the investigative authority, and the fact that several of their officers were injured in the altercation could mean even bigger legal issues for those involved, especially if they are found guilty.
