    Either bottled water or in gallon containers, water is something you're definitely going to want to have with you. However, if you get stuck make sure you take your time with it because there aren't any port-a-potties on I-10. But, I may have a bathroom solution for you. More on that later.

    You're definitely going to want to have your phone handy during an I-10 backup, and if you can keep it charged without having to run your vehicle to do it. Have a fully charged portable phone charger or two handy and you won't have to worry about it.

    FOOD

    It can be a pretty bad scene being stuck in I-10 for 5 hours when the hangry kicks in. Keep a stash of food/snack in your truck just in case. Beef jerky, peanut butter crackers, dried fruit, and trail mix can keep pretty well until you need it. Hopefully, you won't but better to be prepared.
