Breaux Bridge Woman Surprised With New Car By Her Son, Actor Ryan Broussard, and His Three Brothers
Grab the tissue because you are going to need it for this story about a Breaux Bridge mom who was recently surprised by her sons with a new car.
Our friends at Audi Lafayette posted a video on social media of the moment that Diane Romero was gifted a brand-new Audi Q5.
In the video, you may have noticed a familiar face -- Diane's son Ryan Broussard, a rising star on the small screen.
Ryan is currently starring as Mike Sherman on Fox's crime drama Alert: Missing Persons Unit. He also plays Will Putnam in the highly acclaimed Hulu mystery-comedy series Only Murders in the Building.
The latest season of the latter debuts this upcoming Tuesday, August 27th.
Ryan teamed up with his brothers -- Steven, Marshall, and Matthew -- to gift their mom this beautiful new ride.
Here's what the actor in the family had to say about his mom:
It's been a dream of mine since I was a kid for me and my brothers to be able to get something for my mom to show how much she's done for us. You've worked hard all your life to make sure your kids are ok and always put us first. The only reason we got to where we are is because of you. We love you mom.
A Little Backstory About Mrs. Diane Romero
I have a little insight into this wonderful lady. Shoot, almost everyone from Breaux Bridge should.
Mrs. Diane is a single mother who has done an amazing job raising four boys into great men.
They were all very athletic growing up, playing multiple sports from youth years to high school. Three of her kids were good enough to play college sports.
And in the stands for every game she could make every step of the way was always Mrs. Diane.
Diane Romero and her four sons (R to L) Ryan, Marshall, Steven, and Matthew
I played baseball with her oldest son, Steven. (We graduated from Breaux Bridge High School together.) Mrs. Diane was our ride to and from practice, and for that, I am forever grateful.
After her boys wrapped up their playing days and moved into adulthood, you could still find Mrs. Diane in the stands of a sporting event supporting one of her grandkids, nieces and nephews, or any other family member she was close to.
And might I add, that Mrs. Diane is just a hoot. She's the life of any party, a joy to be around, and has a big heart.
For all of that and more, this couldn't have happened to someone more deserving.
Enjoy the new car, Mama D. Oh, I'd like a ride in it, please! Maybe a trip to the Breaux Bridge Sonic?
