Brittany’s Project Car Show – Shaking Out the Good Stuff
The Morton Salt Shaking Out the Good Stuff Spotlight shines pretty close to home for the Week's Island location of Morton Salt. Today the spotlight shines on a grassroots project whose mission is to create a future facility for individuals with disabilities to enjoy life through recreation, social events, and support. That project is called Brittany's Project and they have something special planned for the weekend of March 16th.
Brittany's Project hosts several get-togethers each year specifically for clients, their families, and supporters. Twice a year they host larger events that center around automobiles. There was a car show this past fall that we were honored to be a part of and on the weekend of March 16th, the group will host Rat Rods United in Memory. This car show will honor Tommy Landry.
The Car Show and Rat Rod Burnout will take place on the show grounds at 2817 Highway 87 in Franklin Louisiana. The event starts at 10:00 am with a memorial ride through downtown Franklin to honor the memory of Tommy Landry. The ride is expected to take about half an hour.
Cars and exhibitors will return to the show grounds for the remainder of the show. There will be live music and plenty of food available for purchase. All proceeds from the event will go to support Brittany's Project. Entries are still being accepted and you may find out more by calling (337) 380-8243 or you may visit the event's Facebook Page.
Shaking Out the Good Stuff is a weekly feature supported by Morton Salt's Week's Island facility. The mission of Shaking Out the Good Stuff is to spotlight community-minded individuals and groups who are seeking to make our communities in South Louisiana a better place to live and work.
Speaking of working, if you are looking for employment, Morton Salt is hiring at Week's Island. The positions are high-paying and offer great benefits. And best of all, you get to sleep in your own bed at night. You can find out more about what's available at Morton Salt by viewing this link.
