(KMDL-FM) If there is one benefit of the recent dry weather we've experienced in South Louisiana over the past week, it's that we can get our outdoor chores done. Add in the fact that it hasn't been awfully hot, and you can see why a recall on certain power tools sold at Amazon could put a damper on the weekend's plans to get stuff done around the house.

Since we are into the "spring cleaning" phase of life in Louisiana, many of you might be doing yard cleanup, tree trimming, garden tilling, and pressure washing around the house on Saturday or Sunday. We are here to warn you that, based on a recall advisory issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, one of those activities could kill you if you use the wrong equipment.

Popular Power Equipment Recalled - What to Know Before You Use It

Granted, anytime you do work outside, there are some inherent risks, bug bites, scrapes and cuts, the occasional trip and fall, but in this case, we are talking about the possibility of electrocution and death. Which ranks just a bit higher than an ant bite or poison ivy.

You've probably also figured out that the equipment in question by the CPSC is the equipment that we would use to pressure wash or power wash items around our homes. There are actually two different pressure washer units that have been recalled because of an electrocution risk.

Both of the pressure washers are available via Amazon.com. The first product is the Agiiman Series of electric pressure washers. If you have one of those. Stop using it and don't use it again. The units lack an internal ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI), posing a serious risk of injury or death from shock and electrocution.

Consumers Asked to Take Drastic Steps as Part of Pressure Washer Recall

The CPSC says simply, stop using this product. If you'd like to get a refund, use this email address: Agiiman via email at agiimanservice@163.com. These units were sold on Amazon.com for about $90. The affected units were sold between October 2025 and November 2025.

The second pressure washer that's been recalled by the CPSC has the same issue. The GFCI is nonexistent, and using the product could kill you. The Consumer Product Safety Commission offers this advice on this particular unit.

Consumers will be asked to destroy the pressure washer by cutting the unplugged power cord...

I think they really don't want you to use this product. To get a refund, you would contact Fengrong Tools via this email address  fengrongservice@163.com. About 500 of these pressure washer units were sold via Amazon from October 2025 to January 2026. The cost was between $80 and $130.
