The Louisiana Ragin' Cajun football team fell on the road on in non-conference action on Saturday, dropping a 45-21 decision to the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station, Texas.

Louisiana led at the half, 21-14, but Texas A&M outscored the Cajuns, 17-0, in the third quarter, and scored 31-unanswered points in the second half, as they went on to the 24-point win.

The loss, the second-straight for UL, dropped them to 0-42, all-time, against SEC foes.

Texas A&M got on the scoreboard first, at the 3:43 mark of the first quarter, when Kellen Mond hit Christian Kirk with a short 1-yard touchdown pass, capping off a 4-play, 51-yard drive, to give them a 7-0 lead.

Louisiana tied it at the 14:10 mark of the second quarter, when Trey Ragas completed a 4-play, 12-yard drive with a 3-yard touchdown run, evening up the score at 7-7.

One play from scrimmage later however, the Aggies grabbed the lead right back, when Mond connected with Jhamon Ausbon on a 24-yard touchdown pass, making it 14-7 with 13:52 left in the second period.

The Cajuns tied things once again at the 9:15 mark of the second quarter, when Jordan Davis hooked up with Ryheem Malone on an 8-yard touchdown pass, ending a 6-play, 37-yard drive, to knot things up, 14-14.

Louisiana was able to take the lead right before the end of the half, when Davis tossed his second touchdown pass of the half, this one to Jordan Wright, from 1-yard out, with only :07 remaining in the half, culminating a long 13-play, 81-yard drive, to give them a 21-14 advantage as the two teams went into their respective locker rooms at halftime.

Texas A&M tied things, 21-21, with a Mond 5-yard touchdown run at the 10:27 mark of the third quarter, before Mond threw his third touchdown pass of the game at the 6:23 mark of the third period, this one to Camron Buckley from 12 yards away, to give them a 28-21 lead.

It turned out to be a lead the Aggies would never relinquish.

Texas A&M widened their advantage to 31-21 with :43 remaining in the third quarter, courtesy of a Daniel LaCamera 28-yard field goal, before Tyrel Dodson returned an interception 40 yards for a score at the 14:51 mark of the fourth quarter, to make it 38-21.

The Aggies put the game completely out of reach at the 6:41 mark of the final quarter, Jacob Kibodi scored on a long 67-yard touchdown run, to extend the margin to 45-21.

That wrapped-up the scoring, as Texas A&M went on to the 24-point triumph.

Texas A&M ended up outgaining Louisiana, in terms of total offense, 480-309, including a 179-93 edge in rushing  yards, as well as a 301-216 advantage in passing yards.

Mond led the way for the Aggies, completing 21-of-34 passes for 301 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Kendall Bussey rushed for 88 yards on 13 attempts.

In a losing cause for the Cajuns, Davis completed 27-of-43 pass attempts for 197 yards, to g along with 2 touchdowns an 3 interceptions, while Ragas rushed for 93 yards, including a score, on 14 carries.

With the victory, Texas A&M improved to 2-1, while Louisiana dropped to 1-2.

The Cajuns return to action next Saturday, when they host the ULM Warhawks in the Sun Belt Conference opener.
