Carrie Underwood Returns as Voice of ‘Sunday Night Football’
Are you ready for some football? We know one country star who definitely is -- Carrie Underwood is making her return to 'Sunday Night Football.'
'Sunday Night Football' on NBC shared the news via Twitter that Underwood will continue as the voice of 'Waiting All Day for Sunday Night' in the upcoming 2014 football season. She'll also be seen in the signature opening to the show, and judging by the picture, she'll look fabulous as always.
The photo shows Underwood through a camera lens on the set of 'Sunday Night Football,' wearing a silver, sparkling dress with her long hair down.
This isn't Underwood's first time helping out with 'SNF.' She became the new face (and voice) of the song when Faith Hill retired from doing it after six seasons. This fall will mark Underwood's sophomore season singing the theme song.
The first official 'SNF' game is Sept. 14, when the Seattle Seahawks will take on the Green Bay Packers. We can't wait to see -- and hear -- the superstar's kickoff performance.
Underwood has taken little time off from singing to do some good as of late. She recently took a little hiatus to head to Haiti for a mission trip. Now that she's back, she's prepping for 'SNF' and has a few shows scheduled through September. Full dates are listed on her website.
