Former Dolphins and Cowboys WR Cedric Wilson Signs Two-Year Deal With Saints
According to multiple reports, the New Orleans Saints have signed receiver Cedric Wilson to a two-year contract.
Terms of the contract have not been made public yet.
Wilson spent the last two seasons with the Miami Dolphins. In 2022, he signed a three-year, $22.8 million deal with the Dolphins.
Unfortunately, he could never establish himself as a true WR3 behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. While he played in 30 games for the Dolphins, Wilson only had 34 catches for 432 yards and three scores.
The veteran restructured his deal last offseason, making him a free agent following the 2023 season.
Saints fans are hoping that Wilson can return to perhaps having a year that he had in 2021 with the Dallas Cowboys. His best NFL season saw him catch 45 passes for 602 yards and 6 touchdowns.
The 28-year-old was a 6th-round pick by the Cowboys in 2019.
For his career, Wilson has 101 receptions for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Wilson will join a receiving corps that includes Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and A.T. Perry.
Of course, expect the Saints to add more receivers to the fold via free agency and the draft.
