Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump can each call Louisiana a haven for their respective supporters.

According to Louisiana Secretary of State's Web site, Clinton dominated as she received 70 percent of the more than 263,000 registered Democrats that showed up at the polls. U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders was a distant second to Clinton with 24 percent of the votes.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump received 42 percent with U.S. Sen Ted Cruz at the real-estate mogul's heels with 38 percent. Sen. Marco Rubio was the only other candidate who earned double-digit support-but just barely. Rubio rounded out the top three Republican candidates with 11 percent.
