Curfew for Minors Now in Effect for Lafayette Parish

Monday night marked the first night of a strict curfew for minors in Lafayette Parish.

Every night, all children 17 and under must be home at night unless accompanied by an adult.

According to Lafayette Consolidated Government, the restriction is nightly from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am and will run through March 29.

Parents should know that police will enforce the curfew ordinance upon contact of unaccompanied minors ages 17 and under.

However, there is an exception. Minors that work will be considered on a case by case basis, according to LCG.
