Sad news to report out of the Country world today. Dave Rowland, founder and lead singer of hit-making group Dave & Sugar passed away yesterday. He was 74-years-old.

Rowland toured with Conway Twitty, Hank Williams, Jr., Waylon Jennings, and Barbara Mandrell and was an opening act for Kenny Rogers. He had two successive singles in the late 70s, "I'm Gonna Love You,” and "Don't Throw It All Away" as well as nearly one dozen Top 10 singles.

Rowland passed away due to complications from a stroke.
