Diamond Rio Concert at Cajundome — What You Need to Know Before You Go
It's finally here, the start of the 2021 Cajun Heartland State Fair. The festival grounds will open today at 5:00 pm, and for the next 11 days, we can all enjoy the rides, games, food, and more.
And new to the State Fair this year is the addition of the Cajun Heartland Music Festival inside the Cajundome.
The party gets kicked off tonight with legendary country group Diamond Rio along with guests Lainey Wilson and Blaine Roy.
If you are coming out to the concert, we have a few things you should know before you head to the show.
It's free. Just park at Cajun Field and head through the tunnel to the Cajundome.
Everyone needs a ticket to attend the show. Your concert ticket includes admission onto the fairgrounds. You must show your concert ticket at the fair admission gate for entry.
Great seats are still available at Ticketmaster.com or the Cajundome Box Office. To save $5 per seat, use code "DIAMOND" at checkout online.
Doors open at 6:00 pm with music starting at 7:00 pm. Blaine Roy will play first followed by Lainey Wilson. Diamond Rio closes out the evening.
Clear Bag Policy, Social Distancing & Face Mask Policy
In an effort to limit cross-contamination, the Cajundome will be enforcing a strict clear bag policy at the Cajun Heartland State Fair. A one quart or smaller clear plastic storage bag or clear clutch/purse-sized 6.5" x 4.5" x 1" or less permitted. Non-clear diaper bags with age-appropriate children or non-clear medical bags will be permitted. All bags subject to search. An empty reusable water bottle may also be brought in for use at water fountains.
