One event that is sure to be a good time for all is the A Merry & Bright Series that is being held in Downtown Lafayette this year.

This series is family-friendly and is a great way to not only spend time with your family to make some memories but it is also a great way to check out your community.

Here are all the great ways that Downtown Lafayette is celebrating the Christmas holiday this year:

Christmas Tree Extravaganza:

 

Happening December 1-31. This event is located in Parc International all December long and will feature decorated spruce trees for the public to view and vote on.

The lighting of the Christmas Tree:

 

Happening on December 3. This event will kick off the holiday series for Downtown Lafayette. The event will take place in Parc International from 5-9 pm. It will feature the lighting of the Christmas tree and live music from Curley Taylor.

Christmas Carnival:

Happening on December 4 from 2-5 pm. After attending the annual Sonic Christmas Parade you can head to Parc International for the Christmas Carnival. This event will feature a carousel, face painting, train rides, photos with Santa, a petting zoo, and so much more.

Christmas Candlelight: 

Happening on December 8 from 6-7 pm at Parc International. This multi-denominational candlelight Christmas service will include carols and a reading of the Christmas Story.

Movies in the Parc:

Happening on December 10 in Parc International there will be a reading of The Polar Express at sunset. This event will also feature photos with Santa, popcorn, fun jumps, and face painting. The gate for this event will open at 3:30 pm.
