In case you didn't know it yet, Duck Dynasty is sweeping the nation! The season four premiere on Wednesday night drew 11.8 million viewers.

Not too shabby for cable television.

In fact, those numbers give the show the highest ratings ever for a non-fiction series in cable television history! For comparison sake, that's over 3 million more than Jersey Shore had at its peak.

Now, in case you were wondering, Duck Dynasty counts as non-fiction because technically it's a reality show, even though we all know it's mapped out to some degree.

The show has been on a steep rise since the first season. That season saw ratings start at about 1.8 million viewers. The second season premiered to 3.7 million and the third installment rose to 8.6 million viewers in February.
