Easter Holiday Trash and Bus Schedules

With Easter Weekend just a few days away, Republic Services and Lafayette Transit System have released their upcoming Holiday schedules.

Easter Holiday Trash Schedule

According to KATC, Republic Services will run their normal trash pickup schedule for Good Friday, April 7.

However, the Compost Facility will be closed on both Friday, April 7, and Saturday, April 8.

Republic says that customers who may generate more trash than usual over the holiday weekend "can put excess waste outside their carts for next week’s collection."

So basically, business as usual but if you wind up with more trash than can fit into your bin, place it by your cart next week for normal pickup.

Although the trash schedule remains unchanged for the Easter weekend, Lafayette Transit System will not run Daytime or Night Owl bus routes or paratransit service on Good Friday, April 7 according to KATC.

Bus routes and paratransit rides will resume on Saturday, April 8.
