Emergency Road Closure of Cameron St in Scott Due to Collapsed Culvert
The City of Scott announced this afternoon a road closure in the heart of the city due to a collapsed culvert.
The collapsed culvert is located along LA 90/Cameron Street near LA 93 (Westgate Rd). As a result of the issue, the City of Scott has closed down a portion of LA 90/Cameron Street while DOTD makes the necessary changes.
As a result, travel access is as follows:
- Westbound to Debonnaire Road only
- Eastbound to Westgate Road
- Sylvia Street will head southbound to Notre Dame Drive and exit to Westgate Road
Authorities said there is no timeline for repair at this moment. They will notify the public once repair work is satisfactory and the roadway is opened.
The City of Scott is encouraging travelers to make necessary adjustments.
