We love to celebrate our patriotic holidays here in Acadiana, and I always look forward to the huge 4th of July Celebration that our friends in Erath put on every year. The Erath 4th of July is one of the oldest celebrations in Louisiana, now in it's 69th year. The BBQ Cookoff is in it's 20th year, and the Baby King and Queen Contest is always so much fun! Activities for this weeks long celebration have already begun, and we are looking forward to great local bands like Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco Roadrunners, Jaryd Lane, 5th Avenue, the Beau Young Band, and Keith Frank to celebrate with.

In addition to the fantastic music, there is the Erath Farmer's Market, and 4th of July Mass on Sunday, June 28, and the Independence Day Parade, which happens on Saturday, July 4th at 5:00 pm. The carnival rides, the fantastic food and music, the Fais Do Do, the 5K Run, and the great home town spirit of Erath make this one of the top destinations in Louisiana to spend America's birthday! Check out the entire schedule of events, and make plans to head to Erath and celebrate!
