Each year the FBI compiles a list of the most dangerous cities in every state, and for the FBI, they are kind of behind in their research. Just my opinion. The latest statistics just came out this week, but their most up to date info is from 2018. A little far behind, but let's be honest, they ARE the federal government. Thanks to Only in Louisiana for the data.

They have projected the ten most dangerous cities in Louisiana for 2020 to be the ones below. Their info is based on population, violent crime, murder and non negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, property crime, burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. The list is quite surprising, because I'm sure most of us think that New Orleans is #1 every year. And only two places in Acadiana made the cut. Y'all be careful out there.

  1. Hammond
  2. Opelousas
  3. Alexandria
  4. Marksville
  5. Bastrop
  6. Crowley
  7. Monroe
  8. Walker
  9. West Monroe
  10. Leesville
