The new terminal at the Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans will be welcoming its first incoming flights this evening.

All flights scheduled to arrive after 8 pm on Tuesday, November 5, except for three Southwest Airlines flights, will arrive at the new terminal.

According to a news release from the airport earlier this month, the airport was originally scheduled to open the new terminal on November 6. However, the first flights to depart from the new MSY terminal are still scheduled for tomorrow.

We'll take it though. As you may recall, the new terminal was originally set to open in May 2018 but didn't. Then a total of four opening dates were missed since then.

By the way, the FAA recognized Louis Armstrong International as the 5th fastest growing airport in the country.
