Former Ragin’ Cajun CB Sean Thomas Passes Away In Car Accident
We are very sad to report the passing of former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun cornerback Sean Thomas. He was 27 years old.
Thomas, who played for Louisiana from 2011 to 2014, played in 48 games for the Cajuns, winning 4 New Orleans Bowl championships in his hometown of New Orleans.
Thomas was involved in a two car accident this morning in St. James Parish on Highway 61 that took his life.
An 18 wheeler was making a U-turn, and a piece of the trailer was sticking out of the left lane. Thomas, who was driving a U-Haul, was traveling in the left lane at and hit the tractor trailer. The driver of the 18 wheeler did not sustain any critical injuries, per reports.
According to the LSP, impairment is not suspected.
