Former ‘Real World’ Star and Rayne Native Dustin Zito Accused of Sexual Battery
Rayne native and former MTV Real World cast member Dustin Zito was arrested over the weekend in Lafayette on sexual battery charges. He was also hit with resisting an officer.
The alleged incident happened at a Jefferson St bar on Saturday night. Police say Zito reached under a female patron's skirt and inappropriately touched her.
Officers say that once they came in contact with Zito he began resisting violenty. Police were then forced to use pepper spray and Zito was subsequently arrested.
All told, Zito was charged with sexual battery, resisting an officer violently, disturbing the peace by intoxication and remaining after forbidden.
Zito was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. He gave his home address as New Orleans.
Zito was a cast member of the Real World, Las Vegas back in 2011.
