Gen Russel Honore To Speak At UL Commencement Today

Retired Lt. General Russel Honoré will be the keynote speaker for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Spring Commencement today. The former commander of Joint Task Force Katrina will speak  during the General Assembly at 11 a.m. in the Cajundome. He really was the face of Hurricane Katrina for people watching around the world.
Honoré retired on Fed. 29, 2008, following 37 years of active service with the U.S. Army. He continues to speak and consult nationally on building a culture of preparedness and is a CNN contributor.
