Gov. John Bel Edwards addressed the media last night concerning the Louisiana budget crisis involving TOPS, and stated the issue could seriously impact college football and all athletes across the entire state this Fall.

According to Edwards, "If you are student attending one of those universities, it means that you will receive a grade of incomplete".

In the address, Edwards says the LSU main campus in Baton Rouge will run out money by April 30th. Southern University and the University of Louisiana systems are in the same situation according to Edwards.

The only way out is for legislators to approve new revenue in an upcoming special session. If the approval of new revenue doesn't happen, some campuses will be forced to declare financial bankruptcy, go through massive layoffs and cancel classes.
