Gulf Coast I-10 Amphitheater Announces Opening Acts
A new amphitheater located minutes the Louisiana line on I-10 in coastal Mississippi has announced who the opening acts will be. The facility located near a former shopping mall location in Jackson County has been in the planning stages for years.
Just last week the principles involved in the project announced that they were in the final stages of construction and that the announcement of acts would soon follow. We have now reached that day and can officially tell you who will be appearing at the all new Sound Amphitheater in Gautier Mississippi.
Earlier this week a ticket selling site "accidentally" released who one of the first few acts at the new amphitheater would be. The site JamBase was offering tickets for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit in concert at the venue in April. Last week that was unconfirmed information, this week we can now confirm that Jason is scheduled to be in concert on April 19.
Who Will Be the First Act at Sound Amphitheater in Gautier, Mississippi?
The honors for the very first performance at the all new outdoor facility will go to the iconic KC and the Sunshine Band. They are scheduled to play the Sound Amphitheater on April 12th as part of the grand opening of the facility. And it's the band's 50th anniversary tour too.
Other acts scheduled to play include country's Justin Moore on May 24th and Sam Hunt on September 6th. Rocker Melissa Etheridge along with Jewel are scheduled to play the amphitheater on September 28th.
As you can see the venue's "dance card" is not completely full and the Facebook page suggests that more shows and performers will be announced next week. It is good to see that the variety of performers and performances will encompass a wide range of musical tastes.
The Sound Amphitheater is located near the former Singing River Mall location near Gautier Mississippi. It features easy access from I-10 and because the location is a former shopping center there is plenty of parking adjacent to the venue. For updates on performers you may follow this link.
