Gun Pulled On Popeyes Manager Over Condiments
I like my ketchup and hot sauce and mayo as much as the next guy but never have I ever been so distraught over condiments that I felt it was necessary to pull a gun on a fast food employee. That's obviously where Earl Jethroe and I disagree. He did pull a gun on a Marrero Louisiana Popeyes manager last Friday in a dispute over condiments.
Jefferson Parish authorities say Jethroe walked into the West Bank Expressway location of Popeyes on Friday and ordered a meal. After his meal was delivered he became upset with the condiments included.
We're not exactly sure if he didn't receive the amount he felt he was entitled to or if he wanted a different flavor. Regardless, it was enough of an egregious offense that Jethroe felt producing a firearm was the only way to solve the problem.
The good news is that Jethroe did not fire the weapon at the Popeyes manager. Instead, he walked next door to another fast food franchise. That's where police found him yelling at employees and customers there. Police did note they detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and Jethroe was reportedly unsteady on his feet.
Jethroe was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and disturbing the peace while drunk. No store employees or customers at either fast food establishment were injured in the incident.
