Hollywood has descended upon Kaplan, Louisiana this week as HBO production crews are in town filming scenes for a new show called "The Quarry". Filming is taking place at the Sunnyside Motel.

The show is about a Vietnam vet who returns home and is shunned.

"This one is set in the 1970's and is centered around a Vietnam vet," Alison Miller, executive director of for the Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission said. "I guess that's why they chose the Sunnyside. It's kind of an older motel. It probably fits the bill."

The series is set to air in February of 2016 and is for now signed on for eight episodes during the first season.

The following pictures were taken by Leah Richard of the Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission.
