Maybe it's the heat from the cocoa or the buzz from the bourbon in our mugs, but moments like these tend to make the holiday season warm and inviting. And speaking of inviting, what Christmas movie is the most "inviting" when it comes to the taste of Louisiana fans?
Now, to be honest, there are several different websites and search engines that aggregate information about Christmas movies and what people are searching for. The folks at Comparitech.com suggested that, based on Google Trends, more Louisiana residents were searching for a movie called This Christmas than any other over the past few weeks.

If you're not familiar with the premise behind This Christmas reveals it's your typical dysfunctional family film where peace, love, and harmony finally come together during the holidays. But not without drama, tears, and some good-natured soul-searching.
How Did They Determine Louisiana's Most Popular Christmas Movie?
Still, that's not Louisiana's most popular Christmas Movie, at least if you ask the folks at PixlParade, a film and culture website. Based on their survey of 2,000 adults, the folks at PixlParade asked those participating about their favorite Christmas Movie of the past 50 years.
Louisiana's most popular Christmas Movie was also the top movie for the entire country when it came to holiday viewing. No, it wasn't a Christmas Story with Ralphie and the Red Ryder BB Gun, no, it wasn't Home Alone and those dirty animals. It wasn't Elf with Will Ferrell, nor was it The Polar Express with those cold, frozen eyes. What could it be?

Louisiana's Most Popular Christmas Movie is a Comedy
Well, put on your bathrobe and grab a garden hose because the "you know what" is full, that's the most quoted line from Louisiana's most popular Christmas Movie, perhaps you have seen National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation?
About 30% of Americans and 20% of Louisiana residents say Christmas Vacation is their movie of choice for holiday viewing. And yes, Die Hard did make the list, but it was way down the list. The top movies, nationwide, were Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Home Alone, Elf, and The Polar Express, rounding out the top 5.
