Impaired Driver Crashes Into Louisiana State Police Building in Alexandria
An impaired driver caused significant damage to a Louisiana State Police building in Alexandria early Sunday morning after crashing into it.
Police say around 5:00 am, a 2007 Ford Fusion, driven by 50-year-old Felicia Payne of Alexandria, left the roadway and struck the exterior wall of Louisiana State Police Troop E.
The impact caused significant damage to the exterior wall and interior offices.
Thankfully, no injuries occurred in the incident.
Payne was subsequently arrested by troopers after she submitted to a breath alcohol test which they say she registered over the legal limit.
