According to Wikipedia, Ivana Trump was born in Czechoslovakia in 1949.

She married her first husband out of desperation: it was a way for her to be able to escape her Communist home country while still retaining the right to return to visit family.

Ivana Trump also worked as a model while she lived in Canada, prior to marrying Former President Donald Trump.

In her lifetime, Ivana Trump was married 4 times, but it was this one in particular that garnered the most attention.

Donald and Ivana Trump were married in 1977 and, 8 months later, Donald Trump, Jr., was born.

Four years later, in 1981, Ivana and Donald had their second child, Ivana Marie Trump (she's called "Ivanka" now).

Their third child, Eric, came along three years later.

In 1989, trouble in paradise erupted (very publicly) when Ivana became aware of Donald Trump's cheating ways. According to Wikipedia, all hell broke loose on the slopes in Aspen, Colorado, when Ivana and Marla Maples (one of President Trump's mistresses) came face-to-face.

The realization of his ways led Ivana to seek a divorce, and it was dirty. In court documents, Ivana accused Donald Trump of both mental and physical abuse.

According to Wikipedia, the divorce was huge news, especially in the New York area.

The divorce was uncontested, though Donald Trump fought to have the pre-nuptial agreement enforced.

True to form, Donald Trump had Ivana sign a non-disclosure agreement before he would agree to the $14 million settlement.

After her divorce from Donald Trump, Ivana went into business for herself as president of her own perfume and clothing company.

Former President Donald Trump, according to TMZ, released this statement in regards to Ivana's death.

"I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there were many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City. She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!" - Former President Donald J. Trump, via TMZ
