SHREVEPORT, LA - I'm certain the timing of this proposal is horrible. But the LSU Board of Supervisors is expected to approve a request from LSU Athletics to bump up the prices for football tickets and parking. This comes on the heels of a Tigers loss to Florida State team on the road in Orlando.

If approved, these price hikes would not go into effect until the 2024 season. The last time LSU boosted ticket prices was in 2020. That came after an undefeated season which resulted in a national championship. The move now might cause some Tiger fans to get very frustrated.

This latest proposal would bump up season ticket prices "in the lower bowl and premium area by $25 per season ticket should the conference add an additional conference game to the schedule (increase from eight conference games to nine)."

This plan also calls for an increase to the student season ticket price by as much as 15%.

Summary of season ticket price changes:

General seating ranging from a reduction of $50 per season ticket to an increase of $125 per season ticket

Club Level $50 increase per season ticket

Suite Level $50 increase per season ticket

Student tickets would go up by an average of $19 per season ticket (2024-2026).

Per game general admission student tickets will increase $2.71 and per game reserved student tickets will increase $3.00.

Athletics estimates the increase in revenue based upon past attendance is approximately $5,124,950.
