Cats that are up for adoption are housed at the Johnston Street location of PetSmart as part of the PetSmart Charities Adoption Kennels, and they are looking for volunteers to give one hour or less of their time to help with things like feeding and giving them plenty of snuggly time.

The volunteers that are needed would be needed to stop by at your availability for the following days:

  • Monday PM
  • Friday AM
  • Saturday AM

Again, only an hour or less of your time would be needed for either Monday, Friday or Saturday, and you can coordinate with Acadiana Animal Aid by visiting acadianaanimalaid.org/volunteer and submitting a Volunteer Form.

If you're assigned a volunteer shift for the cats and kitties, you would need to do the following:

  • Light cleaning
  • Feeding
  • Watering
  • Litter box freshening
  • Giving love and snuggles
