JC Penney Closing Over 240 Stores

JC Penney has announced they are closing over 240 stores, roughly 30% of their locations across the U.S.

According to nwitimes.com, as of now, no information has been given regarding which locations will be permanently closed.

The COVID-19 shutdown has taken a serious financial toll on countless businesses, and JC Penney is reporting its decision to close hundreds of stores is a result of that.

This past Friday JC Penney filed for bankruptcy reorganization. So far they are the biggest company to do so during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Lafayette location in the Acadiana Mall is currently listed as "Temporarily Closed" as it has been for the entire COVID-19 shutdown. As soon as we get information about what locations will be closing we'll let you'll know.
