Jennings Man Arrested For Holding Girlfriend And Child Captive
Jefferson Davis Parish authorities have arrested a Jennings man on charges that he held his girlfriend captive. Jeff Davis Parish Deputies responded to a residence in Jennings after they received a report of a female in distress. It was during a welfare check that deputies also discovered that a child was being held in the same home as the 17-year-old woman.
Commander Chris Ivey with the Jeff Davis S.O. told the Louisiana Radio Network that 27-year-old Terry Landry has been arrested in connection with the case. He is being held without bond on charges of domestic abuse battery, false imprisonment, and criminal neglect.
It was noted that the female victim had multiple bite marks and bruises from choking. The child was found in another room in the home that was littered with drug paraphernalia and pornography.
They also found out that the residence that they were in didn't have any utilities, running water or electricity,It was just in complete disarray and a filthy environment.
The female victim and the child were removed from the premises. The 17-year-old female was taken to a domestic violence center. The child was fed and then reunited with her biological mother who lives in Jennings.
