It could be that he hasn't been included in a lot of presidential polls. It could be that the depth of his support has yet to be really measured. It could be that it seems he has spent more time there than he has here. Those are just three theories as to why Bobby Jindal, Louisiana's road tripping governor and possible presidential candidate has shown up stronger than expected in a recent presidential poll in New Hampshire.

Jindal's favorability rating in a recent poll of Republican presidential hopefuls showed Jindal with a surprisingly strong 43%. Tom Jensen with Public Policy Polling says that number really stuck out and surprised a lot of people.

"I think a lot of pollsters haven't been including Bobby Jindal in their polls because earlier he was doing so poorly.  But these numbers suggest that maybe we should put him back in."

This could be the catalyst that gets Jindal included in the next round of polling Many pollster are suggesting that Texas Governor Rick Perry could become the odd man out if support for Jindal continues to be this strong.

"There's a new person who's always showing up in last place, which is Rick Perry.  I think in the next few weeks, we may swap out Rick Perry for Governor Jindal and just see where he is."
Jindal and  many other Republicans are in New Hampshire for the Republican Leadership Summit. Jindal is scheduled to address the group and depending upon how well received his message is this could be a springboard for the not yet announced candidate. With Jindal's conservative message and the reputation for New Hampshire voters there could be a very swift rise in his presidential stock.
