Lafayette Family Will Let You Camp In Their Yard For $25 [PHOTOS]
Storyteller Joe and his family love to help out their traveling brethren by not only giving them a place to lay their head, but helping them get the most out of their time in the area as well.
If you’re looking for a place to stay that is near downtown Lafayette, airbnb has some nice rooms, apartments, and more to offer. If you want to save yourself some money, though, consider this airbnb choice. Joe Paris, aka Storyteller Joe, and his family will welcome you into their yard for a nice camp-out. They live just four blocks from downtown Lafayette.
Along with the space in their yard to pitch your tent, their own bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, and living room are available to you. FREE coffee in the morning, and your pets are allowed too!
There is a service fee of $3.
If you don’t have a tent, but still want to save some money on a place to stay, Storyteller Joe is here for you on that end too!
For $29, you can stay in Joe’s yard, AND use his tent, complete with air mattress. All of the same amenities are available with that deal, too.
All Storyteller Joe asks when staying in his yard is that you follow his only two rules:
1. Show Kindness (towards all with whom you come into contact )
2. Show Consideration ( towards each other, me, the property, neighbors, our neighborhood, and fair city, state, country, world & universe … )
Storyteller Joe wants you to have the best of time, and really experience the culture around Lafayette. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, just ask! He’ll give you some ideas on what to do with your time.
There’s something going on in the downtown area so often, this might just be the perfect place to crash for such a cheap price!
